Thank you Shaun for the photos and your earlier note. Enjoy Madrid (which will be hot).
I have read about life in the camps and it was generally ankle deep in mud. The neat grass and sunshine is strangely out of place. There would have been a horrendous smell too from the crematoria and the huts.
Please God, never again.

When I got to the picture of the shoes I just wanted to bawl my eyes out. Seeing all those empty shoes...the horror and evil of the Holocaust speaks loudly in that picture.
